FATMEN DANCE - Beemer going to Nats!!!

Two Dancers went to the City Champs Top 8 today, and our own Brian Beemer now has an invitation to the US Nationals. Beemer and Larry were seeded 1-2 after 4 rounds of Swiss, with Beemer facing Mike Donovan in the semis and Larry facing Brook Kennon. A series of tough draws (and a Molten Disaster for 19 that forced a draw when the win was one turn away) kept Larry from getting to the Finals. He did finish third, and claimed a 1 round bye at Regionals (that, of course, he can’t use). Brian on the other hand soundly defeated Donovan in the other semis (he went 4-0 against Donovan on the day), and then went on to defeat Brook in the Finals to capture the spot.

Great job to both the Fatmen, and a big Congrats to Beemer for Q’ing for Nats! Go get em’, Beems!

New Slogan - The Round Mounds of Beatdown!

Jason sent me this idea for a new slogan, and it immediately replaced the rather long slogan I had previouslly devised. It’s clever, it’s catchy, it will fit better on the scorepads. Forget Charles Barkley, it’s all about the Round Mounds of Beatdown!
